Mobile operators have tried to get users to do a lot more than talking for a long time spending lots of dollars to upgrade their networks to wireless technology. When music downloads became available and being able to watch TV, there was a bit of excitement, but what about social networking via your mobile phone.

Social networking and community Web sites on the Internet have really taken off, especially among teens who spend hours online creating profiles and sharing photos, videos and blogs. Forwarding to new and old friends to join in the trend.
Look at facebook and how rapidly this is growing, and there are more out there.
Originally this social media has been used and performed in a work space environment, at a desk or using your laptop. But now social networking is going mobile, allowing people to use their mobile phones to upload pictures or send updates to blogs.
