Different Search Engine - Different Verticals
Tue, 27 Nov 2007 00:15:10 by Jayson Munday

I found an interesting blog from SEO space this morning talking about "Ranking The Search Engines Results Page".  It is an interesting read and the results of the "informal" research are a bit surprising.  But again, information like this should be taken into consideration whenever you are taking on an online marketing campaign.  The perception that Google is the end all of search engines is a lot of the time a misunderstanding, fair enough Google does hold the largest market-share and search volume, but your focus should be on the search engine best designed for your specific vertical.  Have a look at the post, and see which area your company falls under.

Of course Google is still the predominant search engine (and most likely will be for a long time to come), but diversifying your efforts to include other engines could prove beneficial when you are looking at conversions etc.
